FAQs

How should I care for my flowers?

As soon as you receive your flowers please cut the stems on an angle and place your flowers in fresh water. The wet pack we send them in is a temporary water source for the delivery only.

Ensure the water levels are topped up daily as some flowers are thirsty. You will also need to change the water every couple of days to ensure it stays fresh and bacteria free.

Place the flowers away from direct sunlight or any heat source such as heaters, cooking equipment and TV’s. As some flowers last longer than others please remove the spent flowers to ensure the longevity of the remaining flowers.

How long should my flowers last?

Flowers are perishable and a flowers life span is dependent on the variety, season, environment and care. You can expect your flowers to last 3-5 days provided they are cared for correctly.

What days do you deliver?

We deliver Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Other days by request. If we have an event we may close the online store to orders for that period.

When is the order cut off?

All orders are to be placed by 5pm the day prior to delivery to ensure we buy fresh for you. Saturday deliveries need to be placed by Thursday 5pm.

When do you buy the flowers?

The Sydney Flower Markets are open every day except Sunday. The key market days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday which is when we prefer to buy as there is a much bigger, fresher selection of flowers.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver within the Sydney Metropolitan area. Please click here to view all the Sydney suburbs currently available for delivery.

When will the flowers be delivered?

We deliver between 9am – 5pm, if you have any special time requests please let us know and we will try to accommodate them. Deliveries before 9am and after 5pm will incur an additional charge.

Do you offer pick up?

Yes pick up is available at an arranged time from our Alexandria studio 9am – 2pm every day except Tuesday and Sunday. If you select this option, I will be in contact to arrange a suitable time.

What happens if no one is there to accept the flowers?

The courier will leave the flowers if there is a safe location to do so which is secure and out of elements. If we feel the flowers are not safe and/or sheltered from the elements we will contact the recipient and arrange for re-delivery at a time suitable for them. In this instance a redelivery charge will be applied.

What happens if the incorrect address is given?

Please ensure the correct details are given to us but if something is incorrect, contact us as soon as possible on 0408 254 430. If the flowers have already been sent to the incorrect address a redelivery charge will be applied for the redirection.

What happens if you are unhappy with the flowers for any reason?

Please contact us on enquiries@kindredfloral.com.au  or 0408 254 430 to discuss.
